Omaha Public Library hosts free circle weaving class
OMAHA, Neb. —
The Omaha Public Library held a free, hands-on event for all ages on Tuesday.
Organizers said that the classes at 90th and Fort streets are all about self-expression and exploration. It’s also a welcoming space where everyone can create their own way.

Most of the participants were adults with disabilities and families.
Every art session is different, but Tuesday’s guest artist was teaching circle weaving.
“It’s good for finger dexterity and going over and under. They also got to use a lot of skills like measuring, choosing colors and using scissors,” said Tami Brookhouser, teaching artist with Why Arts.
All materials are provided for the free event, but registration is required.
