Omaha Public Power District to install new meters in rural areas between Omaha, Kansas border
OMAHA, Neb. —
The Omaha Public Power District is replacing older electrical meters with more advanced technology.
Starting in September, OPPD will install around 30,000 new meters in rural areas between Omaha and the Kansas border.

The meters will serve larger properties and businesses.
It will also alert OPPD when an outage occurs, potentially helping crews respond faster.
