The Omaha Supernovas are turning to a title-winning coach as they reload for the next chapter.The team announced Tuesday that it hired Chris McGown as head coach and brought back Thomas Robson as assistant coach.McGown signed a two-year contract, and Robson signed a two-year extension.”I’m thrilled to join the Supernovas organization and get to work building relationships with the athletes who will represent this franchise,” McGown said. “That connection is at the core of how I coach.”McGown most recently coached LOVB Austin, where he took over late in the season and led the team to the inaugural league title. He has also coached at BYU, with the U.S. Women’s National Team program and overseas in the Netherlands and Japan.General Manager and co-owner John Cook said McGown stood out because of the way he builds teams and develops players.The Supernovas said Robson will return after serving as interim head coach during the final stretch of the 2026 season.
