Omaha weather: Chance for more storms later Saturday at College World Series

FOR CONSUMER REPORTS, I’M AARON HEGARTY. ALL RIGHT, IT IS. 548. LOOKS BEAUTIFUL BEHIND US, AINSLEY. IT REALLY DOES. IT’S A GREAT SUNRISE, ESPECIALLY FOR YOU GUYS HERE VISITING FOR THE COLLEGE WORLD SERIES. IT LOOKS GREAT. YEAH. AND HOPEFULLY THOSE SHOWERS STAY AWAY. AND IT’S CRAZY TO THINK THAT TODAY IS AN IMPACT WEATHER DAY. YES. RIGHT NOW WE’VE GOT SOME SHOWERS THAT COULD POP INTO THE METRO AREA EARLY THIS MORNING BEFORE THE GAME STARTS. IF YOU LOOK AT YOUR WEATHER HEADLINES, THAT’S JUST ONE OF THE TWO STORM CHANCES TODAY. BUT HOPEFULLY IF THE STORMS KIND OF FIRE UP EARLIER THIS MORNING, YOU’LL GET REWARDED ON THE BACK END WITH THE STORM CHANCES LATER IN THE DAY, THEY’LL KIND OF PUSH SOUTH OF THE METRO. SO WE’RE KIND OF HOPING FOR, BUT WE DON’T WANT TO WISH HERE. MORE SUNSHINE THOUGH. AFTER THIS WE GET REWARDED FOR SURE WITH THAT. AND THEN RAIN CHANCES. NOT REALLY AGAIN UNTIL WEDNESDAY. AND HERE’S A LOOK RIGHT NOW AT OMAHA 66 DEGREES. NOT SUPER MUGGY, WHICH IS GREAT AND REALLY JUST A LIGHT BREEZE. BUT AGAIN, IT LOOKS BEAUTIFUL FROM OUR SKYCAM RIGHT NOW. HERE IS A LOOK AT DEUEL POLL. THOSE LIGHTNING STRIKES. YOU CAN KIND OF SEE THOSE UP NEAR NORFOLK AND EVEN A LITTLE BIT OF GRAY SPOTS THAT ARE HAIL. DO WANT TO PAY ATTENTION TO THAT, BUT WE THINK THAT WILL KIND OF SCOOCH NORTH OF THE METRO AND ALSO KIND OF START TO DISSIPATE AS IT GETS A LITTLE BIT CLOSER HERE AS WELL. BUT IN TERMS OF TEMPERATURES, 60, FOR THE MOST PART, FOR ALL OF US, 69 DOWN IN BEATRICE, 66 HERE IN OMAHA, AND JUST A COUPLE OF 50S, 59 UP IN HARLAN. DEW POINTS. LOOKING GOOD. IT NOT SUPER MUGGY. THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT WE LIKE TO SEE. BUT FOR THE COLLEGE WORLD SERIES, YEAH, THIS IS THIS IS SOME PRETTY NICE WEATHER OTHER THAN THE STORM CHANCE. HERE’S A LOOK THOUGH FOR THE REST OF THE DAY. 7 TO 9 A.M. IS KIND OF WHAT WE’RE WATCHING FOR THIS MORNING. AND THEN AGAIN, MAYBE FOUR AND LATER UNTIL ABOUT 7 OR 8 P.M. BUT IT DEPENDS. HERE IS YOUR SPC OUTLOOK, STORM PREDICTION CENTER OUTLOOK. HERE IS WHAT THE SLIGHT RISK IS FOR RIGHT NOW. THEY HAD SHIFTED IT A LITTLE BIT FURTHER NORTH. BUT THIS IS FOR THE MORNING CHANCES LATER IN THE DAY. THEY THINK THAT STORMS COULD DEVELOP SOUTH OF I-80. AND THAT’S OF COURSE IF THE STORMS KIND OF FIRE UP RIGHT NOW AND SORT OF DISRUPT THE ATMOSPHERE FOR US, HERE’S A LOOK AT THE HER MODEL. THIS IS SHOWING THOSE EARLY MORNING STORMS AS WE GET INTO THE AFTERNOON, THOUGH, LOOKS LIKE STORMS DEVELOP MOSTLY SOUTH OF I-80. THAT’S THE SEVERE POTENTIAL FOR THE MOST PART. MAYBE A COUPLE OF SPRINKLES BEHIND AND MAYBE A LIGHTNING DELAY OR TWO FOR THE COLLEGE WORLD SERIES. BUT YOU CAN’T RULE THAT OUT IN THIS CASE. BUT THEN LOOKING GOOD BY THE TIME WE GET TO BED TONIGHT AND THEN WAKING UP TOMORROW LOOKING GREAT AS WELL, AND THEN WE’RE GOING TO RUN THROUGH THIS NEXT ONE REALLY QUICK. THEY’RE COMING INTO MORE OF AGREEMENT NOW. SO THAT’S GOOD. AND THEN, YOU KNOW AGAIN THOSE STORMS EARLY MORNING LATER IN THE AFTERNOON COULD SEE THOSE OTHER STORMS FIRE UP AGAIN THOSE SPRINKLES. AND THERE THE MODELS ARE COMING INTO PRETTY GOOD AGREEMENT AT THIS POINT. I’LL JUST PICK ONE TO SHOW FROM NOW ON FOR THE REST OF THE MORNING. AND THEN AGAIN DEVELOPING SOUTH OF I-80, MAYBE EVEN FURTHER SOUTH. BUT HERE IS A LOOK AT YOUR SEVEN DAY LOOKS GREAT AFTER TODAY. I MEAN BEAUTIFUL IN THE 70S. STILL IN THE LOW
