Rain and storm chances are back in the forecast for the final weekend of April. Omaha’s Weather Leader has deemed Sunday an impact weather day with widespread shower and storm activity expected and possible stronger storms into Sunday night.Saturday is also an impact day with a chance for spotty, nuisance showers later in the day and an isolated storm. Sunday will likely see more impacts to outdoor activities.Sunday storm threatAs of Friday, the Storm Prediction Center has areas around and south of Omaha in a slight risk for severe activity Sunday evening into Sunday night. Areas near and south of the Kansas border are in an enhanced risk area.All modes of severe weather (hail, wind, and tornadoes) are likely in play in the enhanced area.
