One person dead after shooting in North Omaha
Omaha Police say a woman has died after a shooting near 28th and Franklin Streets.
Omaha police named the victim and suspect involved in a deadly North Omaha shooting. OPD said the incident happened around 5 p.m.Arriving officers found Mi’kaya, 21, shot on scene. She was taken to Nebraska Medicine with CPR in progress during transport. She has since died from her injuries.OPD also said Denzel Gaines, 33, was detained on scene.Omaha Police are now investigating this case as a homicide.This is a developing story.
