Investigators said a Kenworth semi-truck, a Chevrolet Equinox, and a Peterbilt semi-truck were involved in the crash.

Omaha police said the Kenworth semi-truck was traveling eastbound when it started changing lanes and hit the Equinox, which was also traveling eastbound in the adjacent lane.

Authorities said the Equinox lost control, hit a concrete barrier, then re-entered the roadway and was hit by the Peterbilt semi-truck.

The Equinox caught fire after the crash, investigators said.

Omaha police said the driver of the Equinox, a 62-year-old woman, was taken to CUMC-Bergan Mercy Hospital, where she died.

The crash is still under investigation.
