Families celebrated with a ribbon-cutting on Thursday morning.
KETV also got an inside look at the building and talked with Superintendent Dr. Andrew Rikli.
He said that one of the hardest things with a new school is hiring staff.
“Any time that you have the opportunity to open a new building, you have lots of interest from our teaching staff. So, for the most part, Lincoln View’s teachers are coming from other Papillion-La Vista Community School buildings. But in certain cases, we’re also still looking from the outside so that we can have new teachers join the family,” Rikli said.
Lincoln View is the 17th elementary school in the district, and their nickname is the Leopards.
