Police issue ‘shelter in place’ alert during an emergency situation in north Omaha
OMAHA, Neb. —
Omaha police are urging people to avoid the area of an emergency situation.
According to police, there is a barricade situation near 38th and Browne streets.

People in the area are urged to stay inside and shelter in place.
According to OPD, the incident stemmed from a traffic stop. The suspect fled and later went inside a home.
OPD said officers reported seeing the suspect had a gun, and the suspect is believed to still be inside the home.
