“It will shock you if you have an honest eye listening to the President tonight, and everything he is saying will be backed by facts and by evidence that will be provided this evening,” Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said during a briefing Thursday afternoon.
The president has claimed for years, without evidence, that the 2020 election was stolen from him. However, a series of investigations, recounts, and court rulings have found no evidence of widespread fraud that changed the outcome of the election.
The White House has offered few specifics on the evidence the president plans to present, but has encouraged Americans to tune in to hear him make his case.
