Racing legacy: Dale Earnhardt’s grandson races sprint car

If you want to feel old, think about this: Dale Earnhardt’s grandson is now behind the wheel of a racecar. Wyatt Miller is now 14 years old.

It’s his first year racing sprint cars.

Wyatt is the son of Dale Sr.’s daughter Kelley. That makes him Dale Jr.’s nephew.

Wyatt traveled all the way from North Carolina to race in Iowa this weekend.

He finished fourth in his race at the Southern Iowa Speedway.

“You have to go wherever the big dogs are, and the big dogs are here, so we’re here,” Wyatt said. “My whole family raced, so it helps. Anyone in my family I can ask, ‘What did you do here? What did you do there?’ It helps a lot.”
