The Watertown Police Department, in a social media post, said the pups were part of an animal neglect case and that three officers from the department adopted them.

“Cases like these are never easy, but thanks to the teamwork of our officers, Jefferson County Dog Control, and our community, these puppies were given a second chance,” the department said, in part, in a Facebook post. “Our officers are committed to protecting those who can’t protect themselves, and sometimes that means our four-legged friends too!”
The police department offered its congratulations to the officers on their newest family members.
The post states that the dogs are named Wade, Oni, and Roman.
“We know Wade, Oni, and Roman have a bright future, and we can’t wait to see them grow,” the department said.
The department also said a fourth puppy named Keira from the same litter was adopted and is “living her best life with her new family!”
