Terrifying security video captures gunman firing AR-style rifle at Las Vegas homes in broad daylight

LAS VEGAS —
A man, armed with an AR-15, fired several shots in a Las Vegas neighborhood Sunday in broad daylight, local news station KVVU reported.
The man, identified by police as 39-year-old Daniel Lujan Jr., is seen on surveillance video knocking on residents’ doors and firing the weapon at homes.

Lujan was taken into custody and later died at a hospital, police told KVVU. A cause of death has not been released, and police believe the suspect was under the influence of an unknown substance at the time of the shooting.
A North Las Vegas police officer injured a hand while taking the suspect into custody. No other injuries were reported.
