Husker running back Mekhi Nelson will play this season following arrest in Florida
LINCOLN, Neb. —
KETV Sports has confirmed with a source within the program that running back Mekhi Nelson will play this season.
The Pennsylvania native was arrested in June in Florida for aggravated battery. The Florida prosecutors later declined to file charges against the Husker running back.

On Wednesday, KETV Sports confirmed with a source within the program that he will play this season.
Our Lauren Michelson and Andy Kendeigh are on their way to Chicago for Big Ten Media Days, where Coach Matt Rhule will hopefully address Nelson’s status with the team.
