Leaders said the upgrades include new trauma-informed spaces designed to provide a more comfortable environment for people working toward long-term recovery.
“I’m really excited for the next round of people that really need help. And just to know that they’re going to have a place free from distraction and they’re going to have a lot of comfort,” said Stephen Center outreach manager Seth Morris.
He knows the impact firsthand.
Morris completed treatment through the HERO program before returning to work at the Stephen Center, where he now helps connect people experiencing homelessness with services.
He said that the renovations will benefit clients and the staff who support them.
