OMAHA, Neb. —

Parts of Nebraska experienced heavy rain and lightning Saturday afternoon, and this caused multiple large events to postpone or cancel their plans.

The Defenders of Freedom Air Show at Offutt Air Force Base has been canceled due to the weather.

According to the air show’s Facebook page, attendees should expect a text message with an update regarding tickets and parking passes.

The MAHA Music Festival at Omaha’s Riverfront had multiple weather delays on Saturday.

“Obviously, we came prepared with the ponchos and the tarp on our blanket, but I’m hoping that very soon they’ll get back to the music which is what everyone came here for,” Taryn Atwater said.

But as of 6:45 p.m., the show is back on.

The Pinnacle Bank Championship was also in a weather delay.

Attendees were urged to take shelter and exit the course.
