The free event features competitive bidding on hundreds of quilts, food, and family activities. Proceeds will benefit youth camp programs.
“Every kid gets to come to camp that wants to,” said Nebraska Lutheran Outdoor Ministries Executive Director Jason Gerdes
He sat down with KETV Newswatch 7’s Waverle Monroe.
“We have 350 quilts that have been donated, and they’re just beautiful,” said Gerdes.
“We have about 250 of those in a live auction and the balance in a silent auction,” added Gerdes.
The Nebraska Lutheran Outdoor Ministries serve around 1,600 kids during the summer.
