Taylor Farms recalls dips and pico de gallo sold in Nebraska

OMAHA, Neb. —

Taylor Farms products sold at Walmart and Baker’s locations in Nebraska have been recalled due to salmonella concerns linked to jalapeños.

Nebraska products recalled

• Spicy Jarlsberg Dip and Spicy Pimento Cheese Dip from Kroger
• Hot (or Spicy) Pico De Gallo Spicy and Mild Pico De Gallo from Walmart
• Recall is for the 10 oz containers

The Spicy Jarlsberg Dip and Spicy Pimento Cheese Dip distributed to Kroger locations in Nebraska, as well as the Hot (or Spicy) Pico De Gallo Spicy and Mild Pico De Gallo distributed to Walmart locations in Nebraska, have been recalled.

The recall is for the 10-oz. containers sold at those retail locations in the state.

The products have a best-by date between Aug. 7 and Aug. 15 and Aug. 8 and Aug. 16.

The recall is linked to a recall of fresh jalapeños from Coast Citrus Distributors due to potential salmonella contamination. Taylor Fresh Foods, the parent company of Taylor Farms, recalled its finished products containing jalapeños involved in the recall.

Consumers who purchased the recalled product should throw it away immediately.

Refunds are available at the location of purchase, Taylor Fresh Foods says.

The recalled products include salsas, dips, sandwiches and more that were distributed across 26 states and sold at stores including Kroger, Target, Trader Joe’s, Walmart and Whole Foods.
