OUT-OF-STATE HUNTERS AND TAKES AWAY LICENSES FROM NEW MEXICO FAMILIES. ALL RIGHT, NOW LET’S GO OVER TO ERIC GREEN IN TODAY’S AUTO. AM EXCITED ABOUT THIS. ERIC, YOU’RE INTRODUCING US TO A LOCAL TEEN WITH A REALLY COOL CAR. YEAH, THIS IS A NEAT STORY HERE. YOU KNOW, TEENAGERS, THEY RARELY LOOK TO THE PAST FOR SOMETHING COOL, BUT ONE PLUS THIS 19 YEAR OLD IN HIS CLASSIC MUSTANG. THERE ARE NEW CRUISING DUO AND THEY’RE LOOKING TO UNITE CAR LOVERS IN HIS SMALL NEW MEXICO TOWN. WHEN ADAM BOSWELL GRADUATED FROM BERNALILLO HIGH SCHOOL A SEMESTER EARLY, HIS PARENTS TOLD HIM THEY WOULD BUY HIM A CAR. THEY WERE THINKING SOMETHING NEW. ADAM HAD OTHER IDEAS. I’M A BIG FAN OF CLASSIC CARS, AND I THOUGHT THAT IT WOULD BE A DREAM TO HAVE SOMETHING LIKE THIS JUST GOING ONLINE, TRYING TO ENTERTAIN MYSELF, LOOKING AT CARS FOR SALE FOR FUN. AND I SAW THAT THIS CAR WAS FOR SALE IN PLACITAS. SO I RAN INTO MY DAD’S OFFICE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY. IT WAS JUST YELLING AND JUMPING AND I’M LIKE, DAD, DAD, DAD, WE GOT TO GO CHECK THIS CAR OUT. $14,000 LATER, ADAM MAY HAVE BECOME NEW MEXICO’S YOUNGEST 1968 MUSTANG OWNER. THIS IS A REALLY SOLID AND STRAIGHT CAR EQUIPPED WITH A 302 V8. UNDER THE HOOD, POWER IS ADEQUATE BUT NOT EXCESSIVE, PERFECT FOR YOUNG DRIVER. THE COUPE’S REAR WINDOW DROPS ALMOST STRAIGHT DOWN, GIVING IT A UNIQUE LOOK. WE’VE. WE’VE DONE QUITE A BIT OF WORK TO IT. MY PERSONAL TASTE IS KEEPING THE CAR ORIGINAL, BUT THERE WERE A LOT OF PARTS THAT DID NOT WORK WITH THIS CAR ANYMORE, SO WE HAD TO REPLACE PRACTICALLY EVERYTHING UNDER THE HOOD. ASIDE FROM THE BLOCK IN THE MOTOR ITSELF. AND WE ALSO JUST REPLACED THE INTERIOR SEATS TO MAKE THEM A LITTLE BIT MORE STABLE. ADAM’S LOVE OF OLD CARS IS CONTAGIOUS. LIKE PEOPLE, THEY USUALLY WAVE AT YOU OR THEY ALWAYS HAVE BIG SMILE. THEY JUST LIKE SEEING THESE THINGS. HE RECENTLY CREATED A CAR CLUB AND CRUISE IN IN HIS HOMETOWN OF PLACITAS. WE HAD OUR FIRST BIG TURNOUT IN JANUARY AND FEBRUARY. WE HAD 66 CARS IN A SMALL TOWN KNOWN FOR ART STUDIOS. ADAM AND HIS MUSTANG HAVE BECOME WELL KNOWN FOR HIS CARS AND COFFEE SHOWS. ON THE FIRST SATURDAY OF THE MONTH. WELL, A 1968 MUSTANG LIKE ADAM’S WOULD TYPICALLY SELL IN THE 25 TO $30,000 RANGE. AND BY THE WAY, HIS NEXT BIG CRUISIN, THAT’S TOMORROW MORNING, SATURDAY MORNING AT SOMA COFFEE IN PLACITAS. SO, YOU KNOW, YOU TAKE 165. THAT TAKES YOU RIGHT TO THE LEFT. CAN’T MISS IT. LOOK FOR ALL THE CARS. ADAM EVEN MADE UP FLIER FOR. IT STARTS AT 10 A.M. I THINK IT’S COOL THAT HE COULD HAVE GOTTEN. I DON’T KNOW IF ANY CAR, BUT A NEWER CAR SHOWS SHOWS THE MUSTANG, SOMETHING OLD THAT HE COULD WORK ON AND THAT’S. I MEAN, WHAT A GREAT CLASSIC TO GET. TH
