MAJOR CHANGE. MIGHT BE COMING TO COLLEGE. ATHLETICS CERTAINLY LOOKS THAT WAY. IT COULD BE COMING AS SOON AS THIS FALL. IT’S A FIVE FOR FIVE RULE, MEANING ATHLETES WILL HAVE FIVE YEARS TO PLAY COLLEGE SPORTS REDSHIRTING WILL BE ELIMINATED. AND IN THEORY, GIVES ATHLETES MORE OPPORTUNITIES TO PERFORM. I THINK WE’LL SEE SOME ROSTER EXPANSION ABOVE THE NUMBERS THAT WERE ALLOWED RIGHT NOW TO MAKE SURE THAT THE KIDS WHO ARE ELIGIBLE FOR A FIFTH YEAR, WE DON’T ELIMINATE THE ABILITY TO BRING FRESHMEN IN.
