WASHINGTON —
President Donald Trump posted to social media on Friday announcing talks with Iran are going to continue at the request of the Islamic Republic of Iran, despite announcing an end of the ceasefire.
Trump said Iran had “asked us to continue ‘talks'” and his administration has agreed to do so. In the same social media post, Trump also said, “the Cease Fire is OVER!”

The U.S. launched airstrikes against Iran on Thursday, and Tehran responded by targeting U.S.-allied Mideast countries.
Early Friday, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was laid to rest in his hometown of Mashhad after days of public mourning. Khamenei was killed in the opening salvos of the Iran war.
