Omaha police have identified the two people killed in a murder-suicide near Lake Cunningham last Wednesday.They’ve been identified as Joshephine Taw, 27 and her husband, Lwe Soe, 27. Following their investigation, OPD believes Soe murdered Taw before killing himself.The incident happened around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday near 82nd Avenue and Bondesson Street.According to officials, a man was killed and a woman was taken to the hospital with CPR in progress. She later died at the hospital. Officials said two children were taken out of the home and are in police custody.This comes after two other shootings and a deadly apartment fire on Wednesday.Omaha police chief Todd Schmaderer gave an update on the incidents:Mayor John Ewing Jr. and Schmaderer released a joint statement regarding Wednesday’s incidents, saying in part:”Omaha is a safe city with low homicide and violent crime rates. But today is a profoundly sad and difficult one. In the span of a single day, our city has lost six individuals: four to apparent murder-suicides, one to a shooting and one to a fire. All are under investigation and we’ll share more information when we have it. Violence affects families and communities, and we grieve alongside all who experienced the shock of what occurred today. Omaha police have identified the two people killed in a murder-suicide near Lake Cunningham last Wednesday.

They’ve been identified as Joshephine Taw, 27 and her husband, Lwe Soe, 27.

Following their investigation, OPD believes Soe murdered Taw before killing himself.

The incident happened around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday near 82nd Avenue and Bondesson Street.
