Tren de Aragua members sentenced in ATM jackpotting scheme that stole millions
OMAHA, Neb. —
Two people who were in the country illegally were sentenced to months in prison as part of the investigation into ATM jackpotting schemes nationwide.
The two men were members of Tren de Aragua, which is a transnational criminal organization, authorities said.

Investigators said they and several others hacked ATMs across the country and stole millions of dollars.
The two men were also ordered to pay more than $1.5 million in restitution to multiple banks.
Nearly 100 people have been indicted in connection with the investigation.
