Venezuela earthquake rescue video shows barking puppy pulled from rubble

A puppy was rescued from the earthquake rubble in Venezuela, days after earthquakes left more than 770 buildings either totally or partially collapsed.
The rescue took place in Caracas, Venezuela’s capital, on Sunday.

The handout video from the El Salvador Presidency shows rescuers in a confined space calling out as the puppy barked. Moments later, the small dog emerged.
The death toll stood at more than 1,700 as of Monday, according to the Venezuelan government. Thousands more have been injured or remain missing.
The earthquakes struck on Wednesday, June 24.
