VIDEO: Rescuers use flamingo pedal boat to help turtle tangled in fishing line

First responders in Colorado made a unique vehicle choice to save a turtle that got tangled in fishing line.

Members of the Lafayette Colorado Police Department partnered with an animal protection officer, using a flamingo pedal boat to rescue the snapping turtle at Waneka Lake.
“The team made their way out in style and rescued the turtle from fishing line that it was tangled in,” the police department said in a social media post from July 29. “The turtle will go to a rehabilitation center now for a little care.”
