A missing 96-year-old man was found safe, thanks to the efforts of a Florida police dog. Ray Cornett was reported missing Saturday, according to officials with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. According to officials, Cornett disappeared near his home in Lutz, Florida, about 15 miles north of Tampa. Officials described him only as a “missing and endangered person,” but didn’t provide additional updates on the circumstances surrounding his disappearance. The home is located in a wooded and swampy area in the 18000 block of 4th Street Southeast.Body-camera video shows a K-9 named Boomer arriving at the home and being introduced to Cornett’s belongings. After Boomer picked up the scent, he led officers into the woods. That’s where officials found Cornett, stuck and immobile, about 100 yards from his home.Cornett was found safe and uninjured and was returned to his home.
