“We didn’t come to Nebraska to go 7-6,” Rhule said.
He added the Huskers need to be better in November.
“You win in November by being the better football team,” Rhule said.
Rhule said Nebraska’s quarterback room has as much experience as any program in the country.
“He’s a great yin to my yang,” Rhule said of quarterback Anthony Colandrea.
Andy Kendeigh and Lauren Michelson previewed what to expect from the Huskers in Chicago on Thursday.
He also praised the success of the other Husker programs, including coach Fred Hoiberg and men’s basketball.
Rhule also discussed scheduling, playoff format and more.
On Wednesday, KETV Sports confirmed with a source within the program that running back Mekhi Nelson will play this season.
Nelson was arrested in June in Florida for aggravated battery. Prosecutors later declined to file charges against him.
