A Scottsbluff man was arrested for allegedly paying for sex with a 15-year-old girl in Omaha in 2022.Michael Castillo is the fourth suspect arrested in this case. A criminal affidavit says the 47-year-old paid $200 and exchanged text messages with a man who was trafficking the 15-year-old foster child.Michael Reis, of Omaha, pleaded guilty to federal charges for sex trafficking in 2024. In court documents, Reid is alleged to have sold the foster child to other men for profit.”The orchestrator of the trafficker was being charged federally indicted there. That took some time. But also, the investigation itself. Once you uncover one thing, you start to find more,” Douglas County Chief Deputy Attorney Brenda Beadle said.Douglas County Attorneys also charged two other alleged buyers, Shah Bahrami and Luis Luciano-Valez. One is awaiting trial and the other will be sentenced in June.Reis is currently serving a life sentence for the federal case and on a fentanyl conviction for a 4-year-old’s death.”All of them happened to be at the same hotel in Omaha, right in the middle of town,” Beadle said.The victim later told police she met Reis on Facebook while she was missing from her foster care placement. “This victim in particular, I mean, she’s going to have a hard, hard life ahead of her, and it’s tragic.
