Two people are in critical condition after an early Wednesday crash.
OMAHA, Neb. —
Omaha police say a vehicle ran a red light and caused a crash that critically injured two people early Wednesday.
The crash happened around 2:15 a.m. near 84th and Dodge.

An Omaha Police officer on scene said officers were dispatched to a crash, and their initial investigation showed the Volkswagen was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed when it T-Boned a minivan heading northbound.
84th and Dodge was closed for multiple hours while police investigated. As of 5:45 a.m., the area is still closed.
“Alcohol, speed and seat belts are being investigated as possible factors,” the OPD Officer said.
The driver of the minivan was taken to the hospital with critical but stable injuries. The Volkswagen driver was also taken to the hospital with critical but non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
