The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says a 65-year-old man died after crashing his truck during a domestic incident Wednesday afternoon.The sheriff’s office says a 63-year-old woman called 911 to report her husband, Kevin LaPage, was chasing her on Highway 1 near Elmwood. The woman told emergency officials that LaPage was trying to run her off the road and was ramming her vehicle. Deputies say a short time later, LaPage ran off the road, went into a field, and crashed into an outbuilding. Emergency dispatchers directed the victim to a nearby safe location to meet with a deputy.Cass County investigators, along with Nebraska State Patrol troopers, found LaPage’s vehicle inside the outbuilding. Using a drone, law enforcement saw the suspect inside the truck, who appeared to be hurt. The sheriff’s office says deputies found LaPage dead when they approached the truck.The incident remains under investigation.
