Christmas in June? This small Kentucky town has transformed into a snowy movie set

The festive transformation includes snowball fights, twinkling lights, and even a visit from Mrs. Claus.

“You have to see it to believe it,” said Joann Pawsat, a Maysville resident. “It’s like magic. And every day it changes. One day we came down when they were blowing the snow. It’s like, I’ve never seen that before.”
The movie, which tells the story of a couple falling in love, found its ideal setting in Maysville.
“Our movie here that we’re filming is about a really nice couple that falls in love,” said Marcus Cooley, production designer for “All the Glitters at Christmas.”
Cooley also praised the town for its ability to meet the production’s artistic needs.
“Maysville offered an opportunity for us to, kind of do what we needed to artistically. The town really was able to accommodate our needs,” he said.
Caroline Reece, Maysville Main Street director, highlighted the town’s charm.
“We get a lot of people wanting to shoot movies around here. I mean, just look at it. We’re lucky to live in such a beautiful, picturesque town,” she said.
While details about the movie’s release and network remain undisclosed, one unique aspect of the production has been revealed: the snow used on set is made from recycled paper.
