Wyatt, previously known as Josiah Wyatt, is accused of stealing multiple vehicles, attempting to break into multiple homes, and fleeing a traffic stop.
According to the criminal affidavit, it started in the early morning hours of June 30. Wyatt is accused of breaking into a home near 83rd Street and Western Avenue through a closed window, finding multiple vehicle keys, and stealing a Ford Focus.
Police said the Focus was found parked down the street and Wyatt returned to steal a Ford Maverick. A Flock camera spotted the Maverick about 20 hours later.
A few hours after that, a Sarpy County deputy pulled over the Ford Maverick and identified Wyatt as the driver. That deputy said Wyatt showed multiple signs of being intoxicated and fled in the vehicle as the deputy was standing at the driver’s side window.
The Maverick was later found ditched in a tree line with Wyatt’s credit card inside, according to the criminal affidavit.
Just three hours after being pulled over, deputies said Wyatt was spotted on multiple security cameras sneaking around a Sarpy County neighborhood. At 8 a.m. on July 1, a victim reported their Dodge Ram had been stolen. The truck was found abandoned in Douglas County two days later.
