THEY SAY 26 YEAR OLD JAQUAN MARION WAS WANTED, AND THEY WERE TRYING TO SERVE A WARRANT FOR HIS ARREST FRIDAY AFTERNOON. INVESTIGATORS SAY YOU CAN SEE HIM IN THIS IMAGE WEARING RED IN THE DRIVEWAY OF A HOME NEAR 19TH AND WASHINGTON. WHEN MARION SPOTTED THEM, DEPUTIES SAY HE RAN TOWARD THE BACK OF THE HOME, WHICH WAS CONVERTED TO A SLEEPING AREA. WHEN DEPUTIES CHASED HIM, THEY FORCED THE DOOR OPEN AND FOUND MARION INSIDE. DEPUTIES SAY MARION REACHED UNDER THE BED TO GRAB A GUN, WHICH HE FIRED AT A DEPUTY. THAT DEPUTY WAS HIT IN THE LEG AND RETURNED FIRE. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office identified the deputy who was injured during a “gun battle” with a suspect, as well as the four other deputies who were involved.Deputies attempted to arrest 26-year-old Jaquan Marion on Friday near 19th and Washington streets.
