American flags line Omaha streets, welcoming Exchange Club convention visitors
OMAHA, Neb. —
Hundreds of Exchange Club members from across the country are in Omaha this week for the organization’s national convention.
To welcome visitors, the group lined parts of Abbott Drive and 10th Street with more than 250 American flags, celebrating the nation’s 250th anniversary while showcasing the city to attendees.

“We’re always excited to have visitors. But when you have this much excitement, when you have all of the flags and all of these great people here, it’s an opportunity to showcase Omaha,” Mayor John Ewing Jr. said.
The three-day convention brought more than 500 members to Omaha.
Organizers said the patriotic display is meant to leave visitors with a memorable first impression of the city.
