FREMONT, Neb. —

Fremont police are asking residents to stay safe as storms rip through the area, downing trees.

The department posted on Facebook that travel is not advised at this time.

The U.S. National Weather Service in Omaha & Valley estimated that winds up to 60 miles per hour and heavy rainfall hit Fremont.

It urged caution if you are in the area and to pass along any reports.
