Friday evening looks stormy around Omaha, and a bit hot

OMAHA, Neb. —

Hot and humid this evening around the metro. There will likely be a few storms east into Iowa. Later tonight, storms will track across northern Nebraska, mainly north of, but possibly near Omaha.

We are really focused on Friday evening and night for storms. Some computer models show a bowing line of storms, which could produce damaging winds. If they follow current projections, that would diminish the threat of rain or storms for Saturday.
