Omaha weather: Hot again Wednesday, strong storms possible overnight
OMAHA, Neb. —
Temperatures are heating up to start the week and there are a couple of chances for strong storms the first half of the week. Omaha’s Weather Leader has deemed Wednesday and Thursday impact weather days for storm chances and possible dangerous feels like temperatures.
Wednesday heat and storm chances
A cold front will be in the area Wednesday and will bring another day of potential triple digit heat index values and a chance for storms. As of Wednesday morning, the Storm Prediction Center has a slight risk area for severe activity for most of the KETV viewing area.

Better chances for storms during the day will likely be on the Iowa side of the river. A second round of storms could develop overnight in eastern Nebraska and bring the threat for large hail, damaging wind gusts, and heavy rain. Storm chances will stick around into early Thursday.
