Omaha weather: Late week storms possible
OMAHA, Neb. —
After an active week there is another chance for strong storms before we get to the weekend. Omaha’s Weather Leader has deemed Friday an impact weather day.
Friday storm chances
Scattered storms are possible during the day Friday with the best chances west of Omaha. As of Thursday morning, the Storm Prediction Center has areas south and west of the Omaha metro in a slight risk zone for severe activity.

The main threats with any stronger storms would be large hail and 60-plus mile per hour wind gusts. Heavy rain is also possible.
The best chance for storms in the Omaha metro would be in the afternoon. Better chance for nighttime strong storms will likely be west of the metro as well.
