Mother has her son ‘arrested’ for refusing to take back-to-school picture

KEENESBURG, Colo. —

A Colorado mother playfully involved police after her fifth grade son refused her request to take a back-to-school photo.

An officer with the Keenesburg Police Department helped stage the photos, and Amanda Stolz, the child’s mother, posted the pictures online.

The photos show the smiling fifth grader in the back of a patrol unit in handcuffs, framing the moment as a lesson about listening to your parents.

No actual charges were levied against the boy.
