New construction impacts to I-480 start Wednesday: What to know
OMAHA, Neb. —
Starting Wednesday, August 26, overnight lane closures will happen on I-480.
The lane closures will be I-480 between Harney and Dodge. The City of Omaha says this is to strip bridge overhangs on the Farnam Street bridge, which is expected to be rebuilt and reopen in less than 1.5 months.

Lane closures will start at 9 p.m. and run through 6 a.m. the following morning; work is expected to take three nights. At least one lane of I-480 will be open at all times.
Restrictions will start on the southbound side of I-480, during that time the on-ramp to southbound I-480 at 30th will be closed.
Then, on Thursday, August 27, the I-480/Dodge Street ramp will close at 3:30 a.m. The closure is so streetcar tracks can be constructed across Dodge. The ramp is expected to reopen by 8 a.m. Monday, August 31.
