Man faces domestic assault charges after woman shot in foot, Omaha police say

OMAHA, Neb. —

A 42-year-old man faces multiple charges after a woman was shot in the foot, Omaha police said.

Authorities said the shooting happened at a home near 30th and Whitmore streets on Wednesday night.

Investigators said a 41-year-old woman was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.

Trovele Whaley was taken into custody for first-degree domestic assault, use of a weapon to commit a felony, terroristic threats, strangulation, third-degree domestic assault, and misdemeanor assault, Omaha police said.
