Two people found dead in central Omaha shooting
Omaha police found a man and woman dead in a shooting early Wednesday morning. Officers said there is no threat to the public.

MELISSA POLICE SAY TWO PEOPLE ARE DEAD IN A SHOOTING THAT HAPPENED HERE AROUND 130 THIS MORNING. NOW, THAT’S ONLY ABOUT 20 MINUTES AFTER THE SHOOTING. MARY JUST REPORTED ON. POLICE DO NOT BELIEVE EITHER SITUATIONS ARE CONNECTED. HERE’S WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT THIS SCENE THOUGH. AROUND 130 THIS MORNING, POLICE WERE CALLED TO THE SCENE HERE NEAR 85TH AND IZARD. WHEN THEY ARRIVED ON SCENE, OFFICERS FOUND ONE MAN AND ONE WOMAN DEAD INSIDE A HOME. NOW, RIGHT NOW, POLICE ARE STILL ON SCENE. THERE’S A BLOCK OF NORTH 84TH AND COZAD CLOSED OFF BEHIND ME. BUT AS OF RIGHT NOW, POLICE HAVE NOT SAID ANYTHING ABOUT SUSPECTS OR IF THEY’VE MADE AN ARREST, BUT THEY DO NOT BELIEVE THERE IS A THREAT TO TO THE PUBLIC. AGAIN, THIS ALL HAPPENED AROUND 130 THIS MORNING. IT IS A DEVELOPING SITUATION. BUT AGAIN, POLICE DO NOT BELIEVE THIS SCENE HERE ON 84TH AND EZARD IS CONNECTED TO THE OTHER FATAL SHOOTING THAT HAPPENE

Omaha police found two people, a man and a woman, dead in a shooting early Wednesday morning. Officers responded to near North 85th and Izard streets around 1:30 a.m. They found the two people dead inside a home. A police sergeant on scene did not say anything about a possible suspect but said there’s no threat to the public.
