Omaha weather: Strong storms possible early Thursday morning
OMAHA, Neb. —
Storm chances are back in the forecast Wednesday night and a few storms could be strong.
Wednesday night storm chances
Plan for another hot and humid day Wednesday before storm chances go up, mainly after 5 p.m., as a cold front approaches the area. A few storms could be on the stronger side in eastern Nebraska and southwest Iowa. As of Wednesday morning, the Storm Prediction Center’s severe weather outlook has most of the KETV viewing area in a slight risk zone.

60-plus mile per hour wind gusts and large hail are the main threats with any stronger storms. Heavy rain and localized flash flooding is possible as scattered storm chances stick around overnight.
