Summer-like temperatures are back to start the week, but Omaha’s Weather Leader is also tracking storm chances in the days ahead. Wednesday and Friday are impact weather days with the potential for strong to severe storms for parts of the viewing area. Wednesday afternoon stormsA severe thunderstorm warning was in effect for parts of eastern Nebraska with large hail on Wednesday. Large hail and 60 mph gusts are the main threats with any stronger storms. Can’t rule out a brief tornado near and east of Omaha too, mainly on the Iowa side of the river.
