Strong to severe storms possible Saturday for Omaha area

OMAHA, Neb. —

Temperatures and humidity will rise for the end of the week and weekend, along with chances for strong to severe storms Saturday. With plenty of events going on this weekend, Omaha’s Weather Leader is here to help you plan ahead.

Saturday storm chances

Though forecast models aren’t in total agreement, there are chances for storms Saturday.

As of Friday, the Storm Prediction Center has placed all of eastern Nebraska, western Iowa and northwestern Missouri in a marginal risk for isolated severe activity Saturday. Any storms that develop could produce damaging wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour and large hail.
