Nebraska’s Task Force One to help with Texas flood recovery efforts

LINCOLN, Neb. —

The Lincoln Fire Department told KETV that Task Force One has been deployed to help with recovery efforts.

It’s a Type 3 incident management team, which means it helps with disasters that exceed local capabilities.

A tight turnaround is required, since they are trying to leave sometime within the hour.

KETV has learned that around 45 people are heading out from Lincoln Fire, but some are from Omaha, Council Bluffs and civilian groups.

They should be back in about two weeks.
