IT’S GRADUATION SEASON FOR STUDENTS…AND…FOR LOLA! FOR THE PAST 15 YEARS…LOLA HAS BEEN DROPPING IN AT THE EPSOM CENTRAL SCHOOL…SERVING AS AN ASSISTANT TO THE OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST THERE… SOME OF THE KIDS WANTED HER THERE FOR GRADUATION…SO THEY MADE IT HAPPEN… LOLA HAS BEEN A BIG FIGURE OVER THE YEARS… NOWADAYS…SHE POPS IN AT SCHOOL A FEW DAYS PER WEEK… PEOPLE AT THE SCHOOL SAY LOLA WAS ESPECIALLY HELPFUL DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC…BY APPEARING IN VIDEOS FOR THE KIDS…

It’s graduation season for many students, and for Lola, a therapy dog that worked in a New Hampshire school.For the past 15 years, Lola has been dropping in at Epsom Central School, serving as an assistant to the school’s occupational therapist.Some of the students wanted Lola to attend the graduation, so the adults made it happen.Lola has been a big figure at the school over the years.Now, she pops in at the school a few days per week. “Kids come in and see her, she wanders the halls, she takes snuggles, and pats and kisses from anybody, including staff,” said Lisa Freeman, who works at the school.Freeman said Lola was especially helpful during the COVID-19 pandemic by appearing in videos for the kids.”They absolutely love her and really appreciate her being a part of our district,” Freeman said.
