The man who was seriously injured in a fiery crash in New Hampshire on Tuesday is a voice actor known for his work on the hit animated television show “Bob’s Burgers,” according to multiple reports.New Hampshire State Police (NHSP) officials identified Yevgeny “Eugene” Mirman, 51, of Massachusetts, as the driver involved in the crash on Tuesday.“Eugene was in a very scary car accident,” Mirman’s agent Jay Glassner confirmed in a statement Wednesday. “He wants to thank the bystanders, state police, first responders and hospital staff who saved him. He is grateful to be on the mend. At this time, we kindly ask for privacy for Eugene and his family as he focuses on recovering from his injuries.”Mirman’s website states that he lives in Massachusetts and immigrated to the United States from Russia with his family when he was 4 years old.Mirman has voiced Gene Belcher for all 16 seasons of the Fox comedy series, which has won two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Animated Program. He also appeared regularly on HBO’s “Flight of the Conchords.”State police said the vehicle Mirman was driving, a 2026 Lucid Gravity electric SUV, burst into flames after crashing into a concrete structure at the Bedford tolls shortly before noon Tuesday.NHSP Col. A trooper assigned to the governor’s detail and two other people who stopped at the crash scene rescued the driver from the burning car.”The trooper, without hesitation, recognized it was a serious crash, recognized there was clearly someone still in the vehicle and they were able to pull the person out through the window, along with a couple of bystanders who stopped to help,” Hall said.Hall said Ayotte left her vehicle and also tried to help by grabbing a fire extinguisher.
