The moment “twin tornadoes” formed in northern Oklahoma on Thursday was captured by sister station KOCO’s First Alert Storm Command. A tornado watch was in effect for much of central Oklahoma on Thursday, with tornadoes moving through the northern parts of the state on Thursday evening.Field Meteorologist Michael Armstrong and Chief Photojournalist Kyle Hamm captured a massive tornado near the town of Braman. As the storm began to lower, two tornadoes formed before joining together. The tornado tracked on the ground before weakening, narrowly missing the town of Braman. However, the Kay County Sheriff’s Office confirmed damage was reported in the area.
