Wildfire closes Highway 20 in Nebraska Panhandle

Firefighters are battling a wildfire in the Nebraska Panhandle, and Highway 20 is closed.

CRAWFORD, Neb. —

A wildfire is burning in the Nebraska Panhandle on Wednesday and has closed Highway 20 between Harrison and Crawford.

Nebraska 511 called it a brush fire.

In a post on Facebook, Gov. Jim Pillen said he had been briefed by @NEMAtweets and that rugged terrain and windy conditions were making the fight harder.
